The first time I ordered the Irish red ale Smithwick’s I asked for a Smith Wicks and my friends laughed at me after they realized I wasn’t being ironic. And for the first few years of my life, I thought horse douvers was the proper pronunciation for hors D’oeuvres. My point is that I understand that mispronunciations happen.
Even though I thought that my clever merger of food and indigenous was obvious, I totally get that people may think that my blog is called Foodie Genius. Afterall, I kinda am – humble brag- and I guess it looks like it could be spelled that way, kinda? But as I near my one-year anniversary and almost 1000 Facebook Followers (woot woot). I think it’s important that I correct any misunderstandings before I get too famous – I kid, but seriously just in case. So, to clear it up, the proper articulation of my blog is:
