It’s hard to believe that Foodigenous is now one year old. Starting my passion food blog during a global pandemic was a therapeutic distraction from the craziness that we’ve all had to endure over the past 18 months. I was able to post over 30 different indigenous food related stories, but my inability to travel meant that I had to limit my focus to mostly the US Northeast. Trust me though, that wasn’t a bad thing.

It's apparent that you all like pizza, who doesn’t? My birthday meal post about Trenton Tomato Pie-The DeLorenzo’s Cut had over 1,400 views. Not exactly Portnoy status, yet, but it’s a start. Other posts like the Taylor Ham vs Pork Roll- the Great Debate continued to stoke the decades old rivalry pitting residents of the North vs South and encouraged some passionate opinions. Keep'em coming.

I discovered new things along the way, like the sticky sweet Mambo, a Chicago style mild sauce which gained a loyal following in Washington DC. A year ago, I never heard of it and now it’s a must have condiment in my fridge. I squirt that shit on everything. And Pizzazz, a sauce-less pizza with American cheese, tomatoes and peppers that was born in South Philly just a baseball throw away from my favorite baseball team’s home field. Who knew? I didn't.

I have a lot of fun things planned for year two. I’ll be adding videos to compliment my pop culture heavy stories and you will get to see what it’s like to food trip with me and my knucklehead friends. I am going to continue to introduce you to some unknown treats like Coca-Cola and Lance peanuts. Yea that’s an actual combo! And more obscure pizza styles, more movie references, and other awesome indigenous foods from across the country.

Thank you so much for subscribing to my e-mail, Facebook & Instagram and for reading my stories. I look forward to sharing my next adventures with you. Cheers to year two.

He said, 'No, we will not try to accelerate four wheels,' Lederer tells link me. "The challenge for him was to invent a system that synchronized the two escape link wheels without connecting them through additional link wheels."Daniels' solution for synchronization pulled from another early escapement design – the detent.
